Beach paintings coming soon!

All photography and artwork by Helen Dealtry
Some new paintings to share with you in the shop tomorrow and I wanted to just write a few notes on how the series came to be.

Initially I was inspired by the beautiful photographs by K Pederson, of Fog and swell blog. K's eye for the intricate details in nature just blow my mind on a daily basis. Check out her gorgeous Instagram feed and you will see what I mean.
Also, for the fourth of July this year, I was lucky enough to spend a long weekend with some of my favorite people, in Portland, Maine.

The photos below show the journey I took and some of the imagery that inspired the paintings.

Each piece was painted on watercolor paper using a mix of watercolor paints, watercolor inks and the odd spot of gouache. They will be available to purchase in the shop (under artwork) 7/16 at 11 EST. I hope you will go take a look, maybe they will remind you of a piece of your summer!

BAIN

I want to introduce you to a great swimwear line I designed the print for. Here is a little bit about Nicolas and Cindy who started the line called Bain, and who are doing a kickstarter campaign to keep the project moving! I just adore the swimsuits, lets help support this awesome new company!

BAILEY DOESN'T BARK X DEALTRY

Mixing the skill sets from two different artists is always bound to be an interesting project, so what happens when a ceramicist joins forces with a printed textile designer?

In this fun collaboration I worked with Re Jin Lee of Bailey Doesn't Bark to come up with some fun designs for a special collection this Spring. Each piece is hand made by RJ, and then hand painted by me, making each design completely unique and one of a kind.

This very limited edition will make a very special gift for Mothers day, we hope you love them as dearly as we do!
AVAILABLE 4/16 - WED 9AM EST.

A special thanks to Fay AndradaOdette NY and Nicolette.

D*S Sneak Peek

I have always loved 'Sneak peeks' on Design Sponge. It's nice to have a wee nose at where people live, isn't it? The homes of Anne, Jennifer, Nicolette and Leif are amongst my faves from the blog feature.

Last week I shared a peek of my home. If you'd like to see more, check out the full interview here:)

A big thank you to the ladies of Design Sponge, Grace and Amy, for having us!
And also thanks to Tara for the wonderful photographs and to Rebecca for the styling help, it was such a fun day!

Collaboration with Loeffler Randall

It is a wonderful thing to work on a collaboration, it is especially exciting if you have long loved the designer you are working with.
So here's a dream come true for me, working with the epic line Loeffler Randall on their SS14 line of shoes and bags. Below are a few snaps from the blog article the company wrote on our collaboration.
